Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia
Mount Isa is a significant mining town located in north-west Queensland. It is home to the international mining company called, oddly enough, Mount Isa Mines. As the largest town in region, Mt. Isa serves as the service centre for much of north-west Queensland and some of the eastern Northern Territory.

The town is very easy to get lost in due to a lack of straight sections of road outside of the city core. Fortunately, the ever-present smelter stacks are a good reference to keep your orientation.
